One day you’re ideating with the seller marketing team on a video ad that convinces industrial companies to sell their machinery through an auction. The next, you’re producing a full-page print ad for a German trade magazine. The day after that, you’re designing a landing page for a new campaign - and setting up the template system that means the next one takes half the time.
This is the Marketing Designer role at Troostwijk Auctions: varied, cross-channel, and genuinely collaborative. You’re not an order-taker producing assets to a brief - you’re a creative partner who sits in the room when ideas are being formed and helps shape what we make and how we make it. You’ll work across digital and print, contribute to brand development when needed, and play a key role in building the creative processes and systems that help our marketing team work smarter.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be the creative engine across a wide range of marketing output - from performance-driven paid ads and video to print campaigns and landing pages. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across the business, ideating and executing together rather than working in isolation.
Paid Advertising & Digital
Design and produce paid social and display advertising across Meta, LinkedIn, and other digital channels - with a strong understanding of how creative choices drive performance.
Develop video and motion content for ads: from short-form social clips to longer seller and bidder recruitment videos. Comfortable taking a concept from storyboard through to final cut.
Create and iterate landing page designs that convert - working closely with the performance marketing team to test and optimise.
Build scalable creative systems and templates that enable fast, consistent production of localised assets across markets.
Print & Campaign
Produce print-ready assets for magazine placements, trade publications, direct mail, and event materials across European markets.
Work with campaign and regional teams to adapt creative concepts for different formats, audiences, and languages without losing visual or strategic coherence.
Manage production-ready files with precision: correct specs, bleed, colour profiles, and print supplier requirements.
Brand & Process
Apply and safeguard Troostwijk’s brand identity across all output - and contribute to its evolution when the brief calls for it.
Help define and implement creative workflows, briefing processes, and asset management systems that improve how the marketing team operates.
Be an active creative collaborator: joining ideation sessions, bringing forward ideas unprompted, and helping teams think through creative problems - not just execute solutions handed to you.
Use AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate exploration, concept development, and production where appropriate.
What You Bring
3–6 years of experience in a creative design role covering both digital and print, in-house or agency background welcome.
A versatile portfolio that spans paid advertising, video/motion, print, and digital, ideally with some B2B or performance marketing context.
Strong hands-on skills in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); After Effects or equivalent for motion work.
A genuine understanding of how design decisions affect performance in paid channels, you think about conversion, not just craft.
Experience with (or appetite for) video production: briefing, editing, and adapting video assets for different platforms and formats.
Comfort working across multiple simultaneous projects and stakeholders without losing quality or missing deadlines.
A proactive, collaborative approach, meaning you contribute ideas in the room, flag problems early, and take ownership of your work end-to-end.
Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools (e.g. Midjourney, Adobe Firefly) as part of a modern creative toolkit.
Fluent in English; Dutch or German is a plus given our key markets.
